Description:
This Woodcock pair is magnificently hand chased from beak to tail tip, and cast in eight separate parts of solid silver, all taken from moulds made using the lost wax process. The details of the feathers are reemphasised through the traditional art of hand chasing to highlight all their life-like features.
The use of these rare hand skills ensures each piece is unique, as each hand stroke is slightly different. The Quail pair features the hen standing in surveillance at 10.5cm tall, while the cock is bent down, pecking for food, at 10cm tall. Together, the pair weighs 700g of hallmarked Sterling Silver.
