We offer three typefaces: Times, Goudy and Script. There are no hard rules of which typeface to use, popularity suggests Times for boys/men, Script for girls/ladies and Goudy as an in between and on larger items where the lettering is large too.
We use the latest in C.A.D engraving equipment. This technology coupled with our experienced craftsmen creates beautiful inscriptions, perfectly balanced to give stunning results every time.
Hand Engraving
Certain items can only be engraved by our highly skilled craftsmen, such as decanters. Due to the complexity and timing involved in the work, this method of engraving is very precise and, by its nature, more expensive than items which can be engraved by machine. As it is an “artform”, it can be quite adaptive; the engraving topics can extend to “crests”, pictorial imaginings, such as signatures and so on. The price for character hand engraving is outlined in the product details page; however, if something more elaborate is required, contact us, and we will advise and quote accordingly.
Please note that certain items cannot be engraved, including glass, horn, and leather. The product copy will guide you accordingly, or contact us for advice.
Any items that have been engraved cannot be returned.
