Description
Chasing is one of the oldest surviving silversmithing skills still practised today, where the silversmith uses special tools to move the silver, thus creating a 3-dimensional design. This skill is used to craft the Partridge pair, which is magnificently hand chased from beak to tail tip. As some details aren't captured during casting, a hand craftsman hand chases all the details of the feathers to reemphasise them to bring out its life-like features. The Partridge with outstretched wings stand at 12cm tall, while its partner stands at 10cm tall. Both are in Sterling Silver.
